The C Line Extension to Torrance is a proposed Light Rail Transit (LRT) line that will extend approximately 4.5 miles from the end of the existing Metro C (Green) Line in Redondo Beach southeast towards Torrance. The proposed LRT line would connect the Metro system further into the South Bay, serving the cities of Redondo Beach, Lawndale, and Torrance. The Project Area is primarily urban, with a wide range of existing and planned land uses. The Project includes the construction two new stations as well as support facilities.

 

YKD worked closely with LACMTA to prepare for community meetings and developed presentation materials such as rendered landscape design alternatives and 3-D sketches.  Landscape design, included potential landscape restoration required for impacted areas, opportunities for landscape improvement, streetscape improvement, bicycle/pedestrian accessibility and safety, on-site stormwater management, and recreational opportunities for adjacent communities.
