CERRITOS

DEL AMO BOULEVARD BRIDGE

STATUS: Proposal

CLIENT: City of Cerritos

Located at the junction point of an existing regional bike trail, Coyote Creek Bikeway; a future regional Class I bikeway along the abandoned Union Pacific Railroad line (and Previous Pacific Electric Streetcar Corridor)  that is currently being studied by Los Angeles County Transit Authority and Orange County Transit Authority; and an arterial roadway, Del Amo Boulevard / La Palma Avenue which provides Class II and Class III bike lanes that connect to neighborhoods, parks, schools, and other recreational facilities, the improvement of the Del Amo Boulevard Bridge truly calls for urban design opportunity to enhance the connectivity between the aforementioned bikeways.
